Description
Two houses, dating from the early to mid-18th century, are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a machine-tile roof. The houses are three storeys high and six bays wide. The house at bay 2 has a six-panel door with a four-pane overlight, set within a flush wood architrave and a flat brick arch. The door in bay 4 is similar, but features a four-panel door. All windows are sash windows with flat brick arches and stone sills, with the exception of bays 5 and 6 on the ground floor, which have a two-light sash window and a tripartite window with a sash in the central opening. Bays 2 and 4 on the first and second floors are blind. The eaves feature stepped dentil detailing. The right end has shaped kneelers and a stone coping. Chimneys are located at the ends of the building and along the ridge. This group value reflects their contribution to the historic character of the area.
