Description

The ice house located west of Bedale Hall is a late 18th-century structure. It is built from red brick and rubble, featuring an entrance with an ashlar surround and rubble internal walls. The entrance passage measures 17 feet in length and has a brick arched roof. This passage leads to the ice chamber, which is constructed of brick, measuring 10 feet in diameter and 14 feet deep, topped with a shallow brick dome.
