Description

Yeadon Farmhouse and the attached outbuilding feature a continuous roof and date back to the 17th century, with a refronting in the 18th century and later alterations. The structure is built of coursed squared stone and ashlar, topped with a graduated stone slate and Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high and consists of a two-bay house with a single-bay outbuilding to the left. The building has quoins and a central board door set in a chamfered stone surround. To the right, there is a square window opening, and to the left, a 6-pane casement, both framed in plain stone surrounds. On the first floor, the left side features an 8-pane casement in a plain stone surround, while the right side has a 4-pane casement in a similar style. The left-hand bay includes a board door in a plain stone surround, leading to cantilevered stone steps that ascend to a plain doorcase. There is a 6-pane window on the ground floor and remnants of a sash window above. The building displays shaped kneelers and stone copings, with an end stack to the right and another stack on the ridge. The right return has an outshut with a board door in a plain stone surround. At the rear, there is a 2-light chamfered mullion window. Inside, there is a large late 17th-century fireplace featuring shaped stone consoles and a mantelshelf.
