Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of Ham stone ashlar and near-ashlar, topped with Welsh slate roofs that feature stepped coped gables with obelisk finials and brick chimney stacks on stone bases. The building has a double roof plan with a crosswing and stands two storeys tall with attics.

The south elevation has four bays, with plain beaded mullioned windows in shallow architraves on the ground floor. The first two bays have 2-light windows, while the fourth bay has 3-light windows on both levels, featuring a moulded cill. The first floor has hollow-chamfer mullioned windows in wave-mould recesses in bays one and three, with bay three also having a label. All windows are rectangular-leaded with iron-framed opening lights that have curl stops. In the lower bay three, there is a boarded door in a heavy frame, protected by an open stone porch that has a gabled roof, a segmental outer arch, and a small sidelight.

To the west gable, there is a 19th-century extension that extends southwards and has small-pane casement windows. The double-gabled east elevation features ovolo-mould mullioned windows in wave-mould recesses, with 4-light windows on the ground and first floors and 3-light windows in the attics, all with labels. The north elevation has been modified in the 20th century but retains matching details. The interior has not been inspected.
