Description
The fruit store and coach house, built around 1870 by W E Nesfield, is located approximately 100 metres north of Kiplin Hall. This structure features banded brick and rubblestone with graduated stone slate roofs and is shaped like the letter "I" in plan. It is a single storey with an attic. The gabled coach-house wing on the left has a three-light casement window and a smaller casement window, both with segmental brick arches above them. In the gable, there is a slit vent. The fruit store range includes ten buttresses. On the left side, there is a three-light casement with a segmental brick arch, and above it, a canted hipped dormer with a two-light casement and side casements. To the right, an external staircase features round-arched openings under an open hipped-roof verandah with splat balusters, leading to a board door. The building also has four small louvred dormers, raised verges with kneelers and ashlar coping, and ridge stacks. The left return of the coach house has coach openings that have been infilled.
