Description
This is a circa 1840 villa, located on Fulford Road. It is a two-storey red brick building on a stone plinth with a basement. It has a low-pitched hipped slate roof with deep eaves supported by iron brackets. A block sill course runs along the first floor. The front facade has four windows to each floor, with recessed sash windows, flat stone arches, and intact glazing bars on the first floor, along with Venetian shutters. A later door has been inserted to the centre of the ground floor. The south side has a returned sill course with three symmetrical windows, later casements, and Venetian shutters on the ground floor. A central Greek Doric porch features pilasters. The front door comprises four moulded panels with a rectangular glazed fanlight. The rear garden front has four windows and a two-storey canted bay with three windows, retaining their glazing bars. The property includes the building at number 2 Fulford Road.
