Description

These are two 18th-century cottages located on the north side of Eastgate. They are built of coursed rubble and have a pantile roof with three brick chimneys. The cottages have two storeys and three windows each. The windows are sliding sash windows with glazing bars to the two windows of number 61. There are two doors, each with six moulded panels. Stone lintels and cills are present. Numbers 42 to 47, 49 to 57, and 59 to 70 form a group, with numbers 50 to 52, 56, 57, 68, and 69 being of local interest.
