Description

These are two early to mid-19th century cottages located on the north side of Eastgate. They are built of coursed rubble and have a pantile roof with a coped gable end, incorporating a kneeler on the left side. The cottages have two windows to the front, with lintels above the openings. The doorways have lintels, one featuring a modern four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight above. Numbers 42 to 47, 49 to 57, and 59 to 70 form a group, with numbers 50 to 52, 56, 57, 68 and 69 considered of local interest.
