Description
No 51 on Newborough is a three-storey house, dating from the mid to later 18th century, located at the corner with King Street. The building has a stucco façade and features a half-hipped pantile roof, an eaves cornice, and a band between the storeys. On the upper floors facing Newborough, there are two recessed sash windows without glazing bars, which have slightly cambered heads. The ground floor has a modern shop front that returns to King Street, featuring irregularly spaced fenestration with slightly recessed camber-headed framed sashes that retain their glazing bars. To the right on the ground floor, there is a door with six fielded panels and a semi-circular fanlight with an intersecting glazing pattern. This door is flanked by panelled pilasters with fluted necking, a broken entablature with oval plaques, and an open moulded pediment. Nos 31, 32, and 34 to 43 on Newborough form a group with No 3 King Street.
