2/34 Statue of Minerva and pedestal approximately 40 metres east of The Priory GV II*

Statue of Minerva with pedestal. Early C18, restored c1985. Sculptor unknown. Restoration by Andrew Naylor. Lead statue, ashlar pedestal. Overall height approximately 2.50 metres with lifesize statue. Rectangular pedestal with moulded base and cornice carries figure of Minerva in Roman armour holding spear in right hand. Not in original position. One of a group of early C18 lead statues.
