Description
24 and 26 Market Place are two houses that have been converted into shops, dating from the early 18th century. They are built of red brick with a rendered finish and feature a machine-tile roof. The buildings are three storeys high and consist of four bays. The first and fourth bays have 19th-century shopfronts. The second bay contains a four-panel door set in a stone surround, which is decorated with Doric pilasters, a plinth, an entablature, a frieze, and a cornice. The third bay has a modern casement window. The first and second floors have sash windows, all of which are fitted with stone cills. There is one ridge stack and another stack at the left end of the building.
