Description
The gate piers, gates, and railings at the churchyard entrance were erected in 1822. The gate piers are made of rusticated stone and are square in shape, featuring moulded bases and topped with stone urns on corniced caps. The wrought-iron gates have panelled gateposts adorned with open scrollwork decoration, and the top and lock rails are similarly decorated. The wrought-iron railings stand approximately 4 feet high and are supported by a single course of masonry, with square-section spearhead standards set diagonally. Fleur-de-lis finials separate the sections of the railings. Both the railings and gates are painted black, with some decorative elements of the gates highlighted in red and gold. This structure is part of the churchyard group.
