Description
The building is a former barn with a cowhouse underneath, along with a waggon shed and stores attached at right angles. It likely dates from the 18th century, with 19th-century alterations and additions to the north. The structure is made of limestone rubble, featuring roughly-cut limestone quoins and a graduated greenslate roof with a stone ridge. It has ten bays, with the north side showcasing a waggon door accessed by a ramp, four openings to the upper floor, and five windows and a door to the lower floor. Each gable is topped with ball finials. Inside, there are simple trusses with three levels of purlins, and the north ends of the trusses are supported by cast-iron columns. The building is included for its group value.
