Description
The boundary stone on Farleton Bridge over Farleton Beck is likely from the early 19th century and is made of dressed limestone. It stands upright with a round head and features deep chamfers with pyramid stops at the front corners. The stone is painted black and white, with incised and painted sans-serif lettering on each chamfer indicating "FARLETON" to the south and "PRESTON PATRICK" to the north. It is important to note that Farleton Parish is now part of Beetham. This boundary stone is similar to a series of milestones and boundary stones found in nearby parishes and is also listed under Preston Patrick.
