Description
The byre ranges in the yard of Low Sunbrick Farmhouse are likely from the 18th century, with some later alterations. They are constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and feature graduated slate roofs, forming an 'L'-shaped plan. The main range is two storeys high and has three bays, while the other range is one and a half storeys and has two bays.
In the main range, the left-hand bay includes a segment-headed door on each floor, with casement windows on either side on the ground floor. The central bay has a plank door and a casement window, while the right-hand bay, which is slightly set back, has a segment-headed plank door on the ground floor and a small plank door above. The lower range features an elliptical-headed door with a plank door on either side and a small casement window to the far left. A weather vane is located on the gable.
