Description

High Bank Side is a mid-17th century farmhouse constructed of roughcast stone with a slate roof. The east elevation features two storeys and three bays, with single-chamfered-mullioned windows. The ground floor has windows arranged in a pattern of 2:5:2 lights, while the first floor has three-light windows, some of which have dripstones above them. The central entrance includes a glazed door, and there are gable-end stacks.

At the rear, there is a gabled wing built into the slope of the ground, which has a projecting gable-end stack with set-offs and steps leading up to a first-floor entrance. The south side of the rear features two-light windows, including one that has been inserted at an angle, as well as a three-light window on the ground floor. The wing has a three-light window and a single light on the south side. The north side of the rear and the north side of the wing contain casement windows. There is also a small outbuilding to the north. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is reported to have a date on the first-floor door.
