Description
The gateway piers and walls for Eden Hall were built in the 1830s by George Webster for the Musgrave family. They are made of calciferous sandstone ashlar. The square gate piers stand on chamfered plinths, featuring shafts with angle pilasters topped by caps that display the Musgrave family crest. A low, rusticated wall flanks the gateway, with flat coping and square interval piers. The wall curves to form a U-shape and concludes with similar piers that do not have the family crests. This structure is listed for its group value with West Lodge.
