Description
Caroline Cottage, built around 1820, is a Gothic Revival "folly"-type cottage constructed from coursed stone rubble with red sandstone dressings. The building features a central square tower that rises two storeys, with windows that have 4-centred arched heads and labels. There are two single-storey wings, each containing one square-headed window with a label, and all windows are fitted with wood casements and pointed arched heads. A stone bay window is located on the east side, and the cottage is topped with plain battlemented parapets.
