Description

Fellside and The Flat is an early 19th-century house that has been divided into two separate residences. The building features roughcast walls with red sandstone quoins and architraves, as well as a rusticated plinth. It is two storeys high, with a front entrance that has a semi-circular head and a fanlight. There are two windows on the ground floor and three on the upper floor. At the rear, there is a round-arched staircase window with a Gothic traceried head. Notably, the author Anthony Trollope used to visit his sister at this location and wrote half of one of his novels here.
