Description

Nos. 53, 54, and 55 on Arthur Street are mid-19th century buildings made of red sandstone, featuring quoins, a plinth, and eaves supported by brackets. The structures are two storeys high. They have two panelled doors and one modern door, all set within round-arched doorcases that include imposts and delicately traceried round-arched fanlights. There are three canted bay windows with cornices and sash windows. Above, there are five windows, two of which are 12-paned, while the others have had their glazing bars removed, all framed in stone architraves.
