Description

No. 18, Queen Street is a shop and flat dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, with later 19th-century alterations. The building is faced with painted render, with painted stone dressings and a slate roof. It has two storeys and three bays. The ground floor features a tall, wide, inserted shop front with a timber fascia and carved scrolled brackets. A yard entrance is located to the left, featuring a painted stone surround incorporating a segmental arch, keystone, and impost blocks. The first-floor windows are sash windows without glazing bars, set within narrow painted surrounds with projecting sills. Chimneys are situated to the left and right of the building.
