Description
The Globe Inn is a public house dating from the 18th century, located on Queen Street in Ulverston. It features a double-depth plan and is constructed with painted render and a slate roof. The building has two storeys above cellars and consists of two bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes set within painted stone surrounds, each with projecting sills. There is a cellar entrance below the left-hand window. The central doorway has a painted surround, flanked by two external stone steps, and features a door with six raised and fielded panels. A chimney is located on the right-hand gable. Although the interior has been altered, it still retains panelling in the lobby and a hearth, with the early plan of the building still discernible.
