Description

Gatehouse Cottage is a house, likely dating from the early 18th century, with later alterations. It is built of stone rubble with a slate roof, and has brick detailing to the stacks. The house has two storeys and two bays. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The central entrance features a six-fielded-panel door. A timber lintel is embedded in the wall above and to one side of the entrance. The house has gable-end stacks, with the stack to the right projecting and featuring a brick shaft, and a cross-axial stack. The rear of the house has sash windows.
