Description
The Seventh Day Adventist Church, dated 1868 and altered, is located on Ulverston Road in Dalton In Furness. It is a church with attached railings, constructed of ruled stucco and featuring a graduated slate roof. The building is tall and single-storey with a half basement, comprising three by four bays and a gabled entrance front. It has raised quoins and a later central porch that includes a round-arched window, with a gable and steps leading to doors on each side. There is a continuous sill band beneath the shortened round-arched windows, which have iron casements with glazing bars. A central window above the porch is blocked, and there is a partially defaced date plaque, along with plain bargeboards. On the left side, there are iron railings around a light-well, steps leading down to a door, and a sash window with glazing bars. The ground-floor windows match those at the front. The right side is similar, but features two sashes with glazing bars in the half basement.
