Description

Nos 1 and 2 Crown Square is a single large 18th-century house constructed of ashlar stone with long and short quoins. The building has two storeys. The centre features a modern door set within a moulded architrave, flanked by two windows on the ground floor, one of which has been enlarged and modernized. Above, there are three sash windows. A rainwater head on the building is dated 1792 and marked with the initials T.H.J. At the rear, there is a boundary with a lintel dated 1647 and another dated 1894.
