Description

Nos 41 and 42 on King Street are mid-19th century buildings constructed from red sandstone ashlar. They feature quoins and cill bands and stand three storeys high with six bays, where the outer bays have paired windows. The ground floor is rusticated, and the windows are sashes with segmental heads, while the doors are located in the outer bays. The first floor has semi-circular headed windows with dip moulds and balconettes. The second floor windows also have segmental heads and dip moulds. At the top, there is a piered parapet, and although the roof is not visible, there are tall ashlar ridge stacks.
