Description

No. 9 Market Street is a shop with living space above, likely built in the mid to late 19th century. The building features painted scored render and a slate roof, standing three storeys high with a single bay. The upper storey windows have plain reveals and sill bands, with a sash window on the first floor and a centre-pivoted window on the second floor. The timber shop front is partially a 20th-century reconstruction but retains a timber cornice and carved timber brackets. There is a chimney on the left side. This building is included in the listing for its group value.
