Description

No. 5 Market Street is a shop with accommodation above, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features painted scored render and a slate roof, standing three storeys high with one bay. The upper storey windows are sashed and have painted surrounds, along with a sill band at the second floor. The ground-floor shop front is largely original, showcasing a bowed window with glazing bars. A later blind is attached to the timber fascia. The door on the right is a 20th-century glazed replacement, but the panel above it retains a reeded surround. A brick chimney is located to the left.
