Description
This is a house from the mid-18th century, located next to the south end of the Blue Bell Hotel in Alston. The building is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and features a graduated stone flag roof with a shared mid chimney. It has two storeys and a three-bay front. The entrance includes a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight set within a rusticated surround. There is a single sash window on either side of the door and three additional sash windows above, which are glazed in various styles. The house is included in the listing for its group value with the nearby hotel.
