NY 71 SE KABER THE GREEN, KABER (North side)

8/65 Barn & byre ranges adjoining east end of The Buildings Farmhouse

'L'-shaped range of barns and byres grouped around cobbled courtyard; mid C19 with later alterations. Coursed, squared rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roofs, north range continues from farmhouse. Wagon arch at junction with farmhouse leads to rear. 8 byre doors (some part-blocked) to ground floor front with 2 doors and 2 windows above; all doors have segmental heads with projecting imposts and keystones. To rear, 2 large segment-headed wagon doors up ramps with lean-to between. East range of similar construction with 2 wagon doors to right and 3 byre doors to left. 1st floor entrance up steps on left; 4 windows. All doors (except centre byre, which is part-blocked) have segmental heads. C20 lean-to against south return not included.
