Description

This is a milestone dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, located at Bridgefoot in Greysouthern. It is made of whitewashed stone with a rounded top and features a cast iron plate on the front. The plate is inscribed with the distances to Workington and Cockermouth, both marked as 4 miles, with the lettering highlighted in black.
