Description
Tarn Bank is an early 19th-century house constructed of calciferous sandstone ashlar. The house has a chamfered plinth, an eaves cornice, a blocking course, and angle pilasters. It is topped by a graduated hipped greenslate roof with ashlar chimney stacks. The main house is two storeys and three bays, with a single-storey, three-bay wing to the right and further rear extensions. A panelled double door with an overlight is set within a porch with a distyle in antis design. The windows are sash windows, with glazing bars to the upper floor. Rear extensions feature similar hipped roofs and sash windows in stone surrounds.
