Description

Nos 83 to 87 on George Street are a row of buildings from the first half of the 19th century. They feature scored stucco exteriors and slate roofs. Nos 84 and 85 are three storeys high, while the others are two storeys. Each building has panelled doors and fanlights, with one sash window on each floor. Nos 85 and 86 have moulded cornices supported by brackets. No 86C is notable for its round-arched traceried fanlight, and No 87 has a door set at a chamfered angle to Church Street. As of December 1971, Nos 85 and 86 were occupied, while the others were empty.
