Description
The war memorial located in St Michael's churchyard, to the east of the lych gate, was erected to commemorate those who served in the First World War. Built in 1914-1918, it features a banded Celtic cross made of large stone blocks, standing approximately 12 feet high on a base of three steps. The memorial is adorned with interlace and animal decoration, and the names of the fallen are carved in low relief using sans serif lettering.
