22 And 24, Hartington Place

22 and 24 Hartington Place are two houses that are part of a terrace, built in the late 1860s or early 1870s. They feature Flemish bond brickwork, with No. 24 having light headers, set on a chamfered plinth made of calciferous sandstone. The houses have a sill band and a stone-bracketed metal gutter. The roof is covered with common Welsh slate and has an original shared ridge brick chimney stack. Each house has two storeys and two bays. The left and right entrances have PVC panelled doors with overlights, all framed by a stone surround topped with a colonnette dentilled hood. The ground floor includes squared bay windows with shaped two-light heads and a modillioned cornice. The upper windows are set in brick reveals with shouldered lintels, and all windows on both floors are PVC. The interiors have not been inspected.
