Description
This is a barn dating from the late 17th century, located to the north of Moorhouse Farmhouse in Burgh by Sands. The barn features clay walls that have been repaired with brick and cobbles, and it has a Welsh slate roof, with the bottom courses made of sandstone slates. It is a single-storey building that contains ten pairs of full crucks. To the left, there is a large cart entrance framed in brick. The barn has three ground floor entrances, each with rebated calciferous sandstone surrounds, and two loft entrances with plain wooden surrounds. Inside, there is an original wooden loft door situated between the rear wall and a brick extension, although the brick extensions themselves are not of interest.
