Description
Cruck Cottage, located at the entrance to Moorhouse Farm, is a former cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It features rendered clay walls resting on large projecting footing stones, with repairs made using cobbles and brick. The roof is covered with Welsh slate, with the bottom courses made of sandstone slates, and there are brick chimney stacks. The cottage is a single storey with three bays, and it has a plank door set in a wooden surround. There is one steel casement window located in the rear wall. Inside, the cottage contains two pairs of full crucks. At the time of the survey, the cottage was derelict and unoccupied. It is listed partly for its group value with Moorhouse Farm and the barn.
