Description

This is a farmhouse occupied by Mrs. Wallace, located opposite Stonehouse in Burgh by Sands. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and features Flemish bond brickwork with pale headers and raised V-jointed quoins. The extension has pebble-dashed walls, and the building is topped with a graduated Welsh slate roof and cement rendered chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a single-storey, three-bay extension to the left. It has a six-panel door framed in an architrave, and sash windows with glazing bars set in painted stone architraves. There is also a casement window in the extension with a painted stone surround. The barn and byres are listed separately.
