Description
This is a barn dating from the mid-18th century, located to the south of Burton Marsh Farmhouse. It is constructed from coursed red sandstone rubble and features coped gables with a slated roof. The barn stands two storeys high, including lofts, and has four bays. The east elevation includes two large openings, while the west side has three round pitching eyes and vertical slit breathers, most of which are blocked. There is also one door opening with a stone lintel and a blocked circular pitch hole in the north gable. Inside, the roof frame has been replaced, but a few original oak purlins remain.
