Description
Burton Point Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the 17th century and has undergone later alterations and additions. The building is constructed of coursed red sandstone rubble, with some areas rendered. It features stone copings and a sandstone ridge on a slate roof, along with brick gable stacks.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has two bays. The entrance includes a four-panel bolection-moulded door set in a lean-to porch, with a framed, ledged, and braced door located on the east side. The windows are replacement two-light flush casements. Inside, the farmhouse retains exposed beams and ceiling joists, along with four-panel doors. An exposed roof truss is visible in one of the internal walls.
