Description

The property at 5-9 Gote Road is an early 19th-century building. It is comprised of two storeys and features jointed ashlar facing on the ground floor, with roughcast above. The corners are defined by quoins, and there's a band at eaves level. Two of the three doorways are topped with traceried fanlights. The building has three sash windows on the ground floor and six above, all set within moulded stone frames. Notably, the glazing bars have been removed from the windows of number 7, and the upper architraves have also been removed. The left-hand return side of number 5 faces the north side of Derwent Bridge House. The properties at 5-9, along with numbers 21-27 and Derwent Bridge House, form a group with Derwent Bridge.
