Description
The Vicarage is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Fleming Square in Maryport. It is two storeys high and constructed in stucco, topped with a Welsh slate roof that is set behind a parapet and cornice. The façade features three full-height pilasters that divide the sections of the building. On the left side, there is a slightly projecting rectangular bay that extends to full height, with three lights above three, and it has stone coping at the plinth without glazing bars. A string course runs at the first-floor cills and between the storeys, as well as above. On the right side, there are three windows above two, each with moulded surrounds and no glazing bars. The building has a prominent Ionic porch that includes an entablature and cornice, with a door made up of six fielded panels and a rectangular fanlight above it, accessed by three steps. The plinth features moulded coping.
