Description

Elderfield is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Birmingham Road, known as No 1, Mortimer Hall. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed in stucco. The building features four windows, most of which retain their hung sashes with glazing bars, and the bays are distinguished by plain pilasters. On the ground floor, there is a canted bay window. The structure is topped with a cornice and entablature that form a blocking course. There is a small doorway situated at the gable end, which is adorned with full-height paired pilasters. The roof is made of Welsh slate.
