Description

Sidmouth House, located at No 58 on Worcester Road, is an early to mid-19th century building. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed in stucco with a hipped slate roof and wide eaves. The front of the house is divided into three bays by plain pilasters that feature wreath-ornamented capitals, and there is a plain cill band at the first floor level. The building has three windows, which are hung sashes set in reveals with glazing bars. The ground floor windows are located in cambered-headed shallow recesses. A central door, which is a later addition, is situated under a portico supported by two unfluted Doric columns and features an entablature. The house also has a plinth.
