Description
Nos. 1-12 York Road form a group of early 19th-century houses with alterations. The front elevation is stuccoed and built in a modified Tudor style. The roofs are slate, with four gables. The houses are two storeys high, with attics behind the gables, and each house has one window. Most windows are original casements with glazing bars, although some have been altered to lattice casements, and some ground-floor windows have been replaced with bay windows. There is an eaves cornice. The chimney stacks are of red brick in a Tudor style. Wooden, trellis gabled porches are present except at Nos. 1 and 3-5.
