Description
The Brasenose Chandlery is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1850. It is constructed of brick and features a half-hipped slate roof with brick stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance is located in the second bay from the right and has a moulded wood frame with a four-panel door. There are canted bay windows on either side of the entrance and in the second bay from the left. The left bay contains a doorway with a flat arched brick frame, a six-panel door, and an overlight. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows with brick surrounds. A brick dentil cornice runs along the top of the building.
Adjoining to the right is a cottage, likely built around 1830, also made of brick with a slate roof and brick stacks on the right. This cottage has two storeys and two bays, featuring a central doorway with fluted pilasters, a moulded entablature, and a six-panel door. All windows in the cottage have flat arched brick frames and 16-pane sashes. The interior of the Brasenose Chandlery has not been inspected.
