Description
A house, likely dating from the late 17th century, now divided into two dwellings, Corner Cottage and Dolphin Cottage. The building has pebbledash walls, a slate roof, and brick stacks. It is two storeys high with four bays. The doorway in the second bay from the right has a panelled wooden surround, a flat hood, and a three-panel part-glazed door with panelled reveals. A three-light casement window with a wooden lintel is located to the right. Two two-light casement windows with wooden lintels are positioned to the left. A doorway with a plain wood frame, a flat hood, and a four-panel part-glazed door is in the left bay. A large 20th-century half-dormer is present on the first floor of the right bay. Three two-light casement windows with wooden lintels are on the left-hand side. The right gable is coped and has kneelers. The interior of Dolphin Cottage is reportedly characterised by an open fireplace and chamfered beams, although this has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
