Description
19 and 20 High Street is a house and shop, likely featuring a later 18th-century front that has been modernized, possibly on an older structure. The building is four stories tall and constructed with stuccoed timber framing, topped with a modillioned eaves cornice and a parapet. There are two cement-faced brick stacks. The first and second floors contain four sash windows set in moulded frames, with the second-floor windows having bracketed cills. The upper floors were converted into rooms for Brasenose College in 1929 and 1932. The shop front is modern, and the roof is not visible. All the listed buildings on the North Side form a group.
