Description

No. 23 High Street is a house and shop dating from the 18th to 19th century. It is a four-storey building constructed with stuccoed timber framing, featuring a moulded eaves cornice and a parapet. The first and second floors each have two sash windows set in moulded frames, with the first-floor windows also having moulded architraves. The third floor contains three sash windows in moulded frames. In 1931, the upper floors were converted into rooms for Brasenose College. The building has a modern shopfront. It is part of a group of listed buildings on the north side of High Street.
