Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is built of ironstone with squared coursed rubble and features a thatched roof. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a three-window range of casement windows. The front door, which dates from the 19th century, is a vertical two-panelled design with an arched head. All openings have chamfered stone lambs, and there are three dormers on the roof. The gabled roof is supported by ashlar kneelers, and there are brick stacks at both ends. The rear elevation is made of brick, and there are 19th-century outbuildings attached at the back.
